Course Description: This course equips CYS professionals with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively to various emergencies. Participants will learn to identify and implement the appropriate evacuation procedures, shelter-in-place protocols, and manage incidents such as gas leaks, power failures, and violent actions. The course emphasizes maintaining safety and calm while accounting for all children, youth, and staff during emergencies. Learners will also gain insights into communication protocols with parents and emergency personnel. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to handle emergencies with confidence and ensure the well-being of all those in their care.
